Drawing from Sounds
During this semester, we had a class where we practiced drawing scenes and characters based on descriptions and music. We had very short amounts of time to turn out each image and limited information but it was kind of fun as a throwaway class. I tried my best to use the skills when interpreting the story assigned to me for the Visual Novel project but honestly saw this class as more a relaxing bit of silly fun than anything too serious as there were classes in Claire's module that I think helped with those skills in a much more practical and common way, working from scripts and the like.

As far as I remember this was a drawing of cupid based on a description. It was pretty rushed and ugly but I like how chubby he is
In this scene, many things were going on from people being put into a police car, multiple onlookers and a lot of scene setting. I tried to leave plenty of room in the image so I could add stuff as it showed up but ended up with a lot of the figures squished into the corner

The description of a female mechanic talking at court was interesting to tackle, although she wound up a little generic, would certainly need more iterations to be a real character

From what I recall this was the audio of a comedy sketch where the actors kept introducing new items and plot points very quickly, including several sudden duels and a wooden leg, this really ended up very bare bones

I... have no clue what this one is from but it looks like it was a drawing of a Georgian couple dancing

The description of the sand worms from a sci fi story were honestly pretty simple but I feel like so many pieces of media have worms like these

yeah I got nothing for this one too aside from this guy is being shouted at

This music is actually from a dating sim visual novel and it really gave that impression so I wanted to draw a steriotypical character select screen

This music must have sounded like videogame boss music to me because I drew a pokemon style boss fight with apparently the sand worm again

Whatever this audio was, it made me think of a very rich woman out on a picnic somewhere with lots of rose bushes in the summer

I don't remember this audio but it made me think of a semi wealthy upper class woman who likes to go hiking and raise bulldogs

This music gave me steampunk vibes and I think I was trying to draw a floating city but didn't have a lot of time

I'm guessing this audio was pretty long since I managed some messy colour and gave me tropical underwater vibes
